
Semesnyei, 51, is married and is the proud father and stepfather to four children ages 17, 16, 15, and 14. A resident of Amesbury since 2004, he has long been politically active, outspoken, and a change agent on many issues.
Semesnyei served eight years on the Amesbury Planning Board and worked for over a decade for the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, where he helped secure funds for the Lower Millyard cleanup; led growth of acclaimed regional marketing campaign; and created the regional economic development master plan, to name a few.
Still, with Degrees in economics, political science, public management, and economic development, his background is diverse, including working 15 years as a global consultant and economist, working with some of the largest firms in the world. A passionate activist, he currently is volunteering for multiple causes of high importance.
