Ted and his wife, Jillian, proudly holding signs in Amesbury at the November 4, 2025 election, in which the citizens of Amesbury sent a clear and loud message that we refuse to continue to enable and reward politics as usual both locally and at the state level by overwhelming voting against the tax override proposal.
Semesnyei, 51, is married and is the proud father and stepfather to four children ages 17, 16, 15, and 14. A resident of Amesbury since 2004, he has long been politically active, outspoken, and a change agent on many issues.
Semesnyei served eight years on the Amesbury Planning Board and worked for over a decade for the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, where he helped secure funds for the Lower Millyard cleanup; led growth of acclaimed regional marketing campaign; and created the regional economic development master plan, to name a few.
Still, with Degrees in economics, political science, public management, and economic development, his background is diverse, including working 15 years as a global consultant and economist, working with some of the largest firms in the world. A passionate activist, he currently is volunteering for multiple causes of high importance.
